SPORTS AND REMEDIAL MASSAGE
A deep and targeted treatment to release tension/tight muscles, reduce pain and remediate problem areas. The massage helps to re- balance muscle groups, realign posture, flush out toxins, increase range of movement and prevent injury. Is recommended for people suffering pain from repetitive work and/or sport postures/movements.
SPORTS MASSAGE WITH REHABILITATION ADVICE
This treatment includes injury and postural assessment. Plus injury rehabilitation advice and strengthening/stretching exercises.
SPORTS MASSAGE WITH DRY NEEDLING
SPORTS MASSAGE WITH KINESIO TAPING AND/OR STRAPPING
Dry needling can be used to increase the benefits of the sports massage. Acupuncture needles are inserted into trigger points or the belly of the tight muscle to relieve pain and increase range of motion. This treatment is highly effective on chronically tight muscles or muscles in spasm.
Kinesiology tape has unique properties providing dynamic support for injured joints or muscles. It also lifts the skin alleviating pain and reducing inflammation. It can be worn during exercise and in the shower. Strapping provides rigid support and restricts movement to protect injured joints or muscles.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
A deeply soothing and relaxing massage, with aromatherapy oils leaving you with a sense of calm and well being.
A relaxing massage using preheated stones, allowing the heat from the stones to sink deep into the muscles. The stones are smooth and placed at key points on the body allowing for a deep relaxation.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
A seated massage using Ayurvedic strokes to release tension, invigorate and calm the mind. The treatment improves blood flow and mental alertness.
FHT qualified, the massage is tailored to the ailments of pregnancy reducing swelling tension and aches and pain. Providing stress relief and emotional support. The massage is carried out in side lying and other positions to support a pregnant lady
"Feedback from the medical team at the WTA Courmayeur Open is you are outstanding in your massage work and working with the team. The players were thoroughly impressed and enjoyed your company throughout the tennis tournament."
Women's Tennis Association - Performance and Health Manager
“Rosie's massage techniques were perfect, I still get a lot of tension in my lower back shoulders and hips and Rosie worked deeply to release all of this and released my hip flexors leaving me pain free. Thank you Rosie. "
David Arnamnart - Australian Olympic Swimmer London 2012
“I strained my lower back whilst working with my client. My back muscles tightened so much during the day I was left immobile by the evening. Rosie worked deep into my hip flexors and all the muscles around my hips and lowers back and helped me regain mobility into my lower back and hips. I was then able to return back to work the next day with increased mobility and less pain. Rosie also gave me stretches and strengthening exercises to help maintain strength and flexibility through the busy winter. Thanks Rosie "
Glenn Wellesey - Ski Instructor and Director of Ski with Ease.
“I was very lucky to find Rosie she massaged me on a weekly basis during the winter season whilst I managed a ski Chalet in Morzine. She understands how the body works and knows which points to work on my legs, gluteals and lower back to encourage improvement and mobility in my arthritic knees. This enabled me to regularly get out on the mountain. Thank you Rosie "
